I am not a Constable in any City in Massachusetts, can I still join the MCA?
No, you may not. Article II Section 1 of our
Association By-Laws do not permit Process Servers to join. You must be a Constable in Massachusetts.
I am A Constable in Massachusetts, how can I join the MCA?
As set forth in our Association By-Laws, Article II Section 2a, 2b & 2c.
Acceptance of new members is only allowed using the following population guidelines; no more than five (5)
members per city for a population of 100,000 or over, Two (2) members if the population is 40,000 to 99,999
thousand and no more that two (2) if the city or town population is less than 40,000. You can find out if a
membership slot is available in your city of choice by going to our membership page and looking for the city
link that you would like to become a member in. (if you are a Constable in multiple cities, please check all
cities that you are a Constable in)
If the city is listed it indicates that the slot(s) are full for that city. By clicking on the link you can see
who are current member(s) are. Our Association By-Laws Article II Section 2d does allow
an exception which allows addition members over the population guidelines. You must get
UNANIMOUS consent form
ALL of the resident members of the city you wish to be a member
in. If the listed member does not live in the city or town your application would take preference as you would
be the resident member for that city or town.
It is suggested that you contact the member(s) listed and express your interest in joining the Association.
If the member(s) are willing to sign a waiver allowing your membership, than your in!. You can go to the
membership application page and printout an application. Fill out the application
and submit it to the address listed on the bottom of the application with a check covering the annual
membership dues.
I am a member of another Association within Massachusetts, Can I join the MCA?
Article II of our Association By-Laws does not allow dual membership. National
Associations such as NAPPS are excluded from this Article as they are not a Massachusetts State Association.
How can I figure out what the population for my city or town is?
